33 1Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man, who had not consented to the Council’s decision and action. 2He came from the Judean town of Arimathea. Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body.
3Taking it down, he wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid. 4It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin.

33 1Καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ ὀνόματι Ἰωσὴφ βουλευτὴς ὑπάρχων καὶ ἀνὴρ ἀγαθὸς καὶ δίκαιος—οὗτος οὐκ ἦν συγκατατεθειμένος τῇ βουλῇ καὶ τῇ πράξει αὐτῶν—2ἀπὸ Ἁριμαθαίας πόλεως τῶν Ἰουδαίων, οὗτος προσελθὼν τῷ Πιλάτῳ ᾐτήσατο τὸ σῶμα τοῦ Ἰησοῦ.
3Καὶ καθελὼν ἐνετύλιξεν αὐτὸ σινδόνι καὶ ἔθηκεν αὐτὸν ἐν μνήματι λαξευτῷ οὗ οὐκ ἦν οὐδεὶς οὔπω κείμενος. 4καὶ ἡμέρα ἦν παρασκευῆς καὶ σάββατον ἐπέφωσκεν.
