INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
1 1In the beginning was Nature, and Nature was in God, and God was in Nature, and God was Nature. 2It was with God in the beginning. 3Through it, all things have come to be; without it nothing has come to be that has come to be. 4In it was Life, and that Life was the light of all things. 5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
6There was a man, a mystic in the wisdom of God, whose name was Jesus. 7He came as a witness, to give an account of the light so that all might truly live.
8Now, since many people have already taken up the task of setting down an orderly account of the events that unfolded, 9I too decided—after studying everything carefully for a long time—to write such an account.
10This, then, is the beginning of my gospel of Jesus of Nazareth.
